Daniel Bruce Johnson

Daniel Bruce Johnson, 66, of Seal Rock, Oregon passed away on November 3, 2016 at his home. He was born on October 31, 1950 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Dean H. and Frances (Bell) Johnson.

After earning his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of California in Los Angeles, Daniel went on to teach economics at Chico State University in California. He had also served on an Alaskan fishing vessel, and finally started his own financial business, where his clients became his life-long friends. He was happy to work from home where he could be a full-time Papa.

In 1987, Daniel met Stephanie Bouchat and created his family, which he considered his greatest accomplishment. They raised a son, Daniel Gehrig Johnson, and three daughters, Sydney “Sam”, Gray, and Rivers Bouchat. He is also survived by his daughters Sarah Nipper and Jenna Johnson from a previous marriage, as well as his beloved mother-in law, Monika Bouchat.

Daniel attended the San Francisco Giants Fantasy Camp in 1984, a lifelong dream, and was an avid collector of sports memorabilia. He belonged to the Agate Beach Men’s Golf Club, and enjoyed other outdoor activities like landscaping, stunt kite flying, and kayaking. He also had an interest in travelling and entertainment; especially comedy. Daniel played the piano, bass, melodica, and harmonica. Comfortable on stage, Daniel debuted in the most recent PAC production of “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest,” where he played Aide Turkle. He was very excited to begin a new adventure in theater.

Daniel, you will be missed by family, friends, and fans.
