Milas G McGuire

Milas “Mac” McGuire passed away on August 30th at Sea Aire Assisted Living with his sister and loving staff in attendance. He was born on October 4, 1926 in Nooksack, Washington to Carl S. McGuire and Maryanne Stoutenburg McGuire.
Mac wore many hats. He was a Pharmacist Mate in the Navy during WWII, had his own construction business, specializing in brick and stone, was the Alcohol Counselor for Lincoln County and counseled in Salem, Oregon as well as an Indian Reservation in Montana. His last occupation and the one he loved the most, was sheepherding.
Those that crossed over before him were his parents, three sisters and a brother. He is survived by two sisters: Ivadel Schmaus of Yuba City, California and Jennie Francis of Waldport, OR; two daughters: Karen Ritchie of Sisters, OR and Pamela Davis of Stayton, OR.
At his request, there will be no services.
