Norma Sharon (Mines) Holmes

On April 4th 1940, Norma Sharon Mines (Holmes) was born to James Clifton Mines Sr. and Marjorie Minny Poole Mines, in the town of Decherd, Tennessee. She grew up a small town country girl with a love for the outdoors; her hobbies involved much of the outdoors and included, fishing, hunting, motorcycle riding and gardening.  Norma enjoyed working for American Airlines / American Eagle at BNA International in Nashville, Tennessee, and liked to travel as a benefit of that job.

If there was one thing to describe her it would have to be Love; she loved everyone. However, she wasn’t without her quirks, she wasn’t shy to speak her mind as fast as she was to show her love. A caring, giving, wonderful woman that made the world smile. Norma was of the Pentecostal faith and loved the Lord. She will be sadly missed by many but never replaced in our hearts.

Norma was proceeded by: her father James C. Mines Sr., and mother Minnie Mines, her son Anthony Wayne Tomes, and niece Kayla Mines.

She is survived by: Sister Faye Cloud and family, Robert Cloud, David Marcus Cloud father to Taylor, and Robert Wade Cloud father to Jessica. Brother James Clifton Mines Jr and family, Jeannie Grant Mines, and Josh Dane Mines. Children Franklin Laine Tomes and wife Rebecca, Michael Tomes and Henry Duane Tomes. Grandchildren Heather, Joseph, Tara, Hannah, Amber, Austin, Christopher, Heather, Chalemar, Precious and Drew. Great-Grandchildren Ivory, Stone, Aspyn, Allison, Jazmine, Jacob, Kelsey, Kyra and Savanna.

Other members of her family are Donna, Melissa, Niccole, and Paul Vollertsen.  Also Laura, Patricia, and Callie Weatherly.
