 Margaret was born as Margaret Lucille King on September 2, 1921 in Portland Oregon to John P. and Nettie A. King. She was raised on the McKenzie River, and had two sisters. After high school, she became a homemaker. She married Lester G. Flowerdew in 1941, and had 3 girls and 2 boys. Margaret divorced in 1948. She married Floyd Smothers in 1960, who passed on before her. She has lived in Newport for the past 20 years. She passed away comfortably in her sleep on August 15, 2018.
Margaret is survived by 1 sister, 2 daughters, 16 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 13 great great-grandchildren. She was the most Amazing, Loving, and Kindhearted Mother and Grandmother that has ever lived.
