Sammy D Settlemire

Sammy Settlemire was born on March 27, 1942 in Atoka, Oklahoma to Marion "Sam" and Della Settlemire.  He graduated high school in 1960 in Santa Paula California.  After that, he became a millwright at Georgia Pacific in Toledo for 37 years.  He married Patricia on September 12th 1994 in Reno, Nevada.  Together they lived in Toledo, Oregon.  Sammy had two children, Danny Settlemire born on March 27th, 1968, and Michael Settlemire born on August 23rd, 1961. 

Sammy was a member of the NRA, Big Timber, Rifle and Pistol Club.  He loved the outdoors, including hunting, fishing, and target practice.  Sammy also loved to camp and travel in their RV.   On October 15th, 2017 Sammy passed away at the age of 75 years old. 

He is survived by his wife Patricia, son Danny and his wife Annette, and his step sons Don and Cris.  He is survived by his sisters:  Ann, Cheryl, Marilyn, and Linda. Sammy is also survived by eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. 

Sammy is preceded in death by his father Marion, and mother Della Settlemire; as well as his son Michael, sister Carlyn, sister Brenda, and sister Linda. 

There will be a time of remembrance from 4 until 6 on November 10th, 2017 at Toledo Union Hall, located at  138 NW 1st St, Toledo, Oregon 97391
