Wylie Eddings Obituary

Wylie Blair Eddings, Jr. passed away at  home on July 28, 2019.  He was born on April 6, 1935 in Portland, OR to Wylie Blair Eddings, Sr and Edith Eva Keener Eddings.  He attended and graduated from  Benson High School in Portland, OR.

 On February 2, 1957, Wylie married Sherrie Leola Kitto in Portland. Together they raised their family, two girls—Therese and Ann-Marie and two boys—Joshua and Andrew.  Wylie and Sherrie moved to Siletz where Wylie took care Sherrie until her death. A few years later, Wylie married Debra Ann Feller, and they merged their families, adding Debra’s daughter Kerrie.  By this time, their adult children started supplying grandchildren and their grandchildren’s friends became “adopted” members of the Eddings household.

Wylie held a few jobs during his lifetime.  As a boy, he had a paper route, he was a janitor in some of Portland’s schools, at the Crown Flour Company and finally as a longshoreman in the grain elevator in Portland. 

In his free time, Wylie loved to go camping and was an avid star gazer. He also enjoyed painting and drawing with charcoal, as well as being a member of the Newport Eagles.

Preceded in death by: his parents Wylie Blaire Eddings Sr. and  Edith Keener Eddings; his first wife Sherrie Kitto Eddings; and daughter Jenne-Marie Reyes.

Wylie is survived by: his second wife Debra Feller       Eddings; children Joshua Eddings of Portland, OR, Therese Thielen (Twig) of  Milwaukie , OR, Andrew    Eddings (Debi) of Portland, Ann-Marie of Lincoln Beach, OR, and Kerrie Brown (Gary) of Kentucky; eleven  grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
