Betty Lee Curran

Betty passed away from a valiant fight with cancer on June 2, 2016. She was born in Salem, Oregon and grew up in Newport, Oregon on the Bay front. She was a graduate of Newport High School and enjoyed living in Siletz, after many years away with her husband Roy and their cat Missy. She was a proud and loving wife of Roy Curran, who passed away earlier this year in February, 2016. She is survived by her son Robert Lyons, daughter Leah Lyons, son Tony Lyons, daughter Rene’ Davis, many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was an avid genealogist of family history, quilter and crafter. Numerous embroidered counted cross stitch works of art by Betty can be found in published books and kits she enjoyed doing. She also made many beautiful machine embroidered quilted blankets for D.H.S., that were donated to children in need, as well as quilts she made for the American Cancer Society. She was a member of the Newport ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

A private Celebration of Life will be held for family.
