Dean L Marquand

Dean L Marquand, 86, of Waldport, Oregon died May 5th, 2019. He was born June 10th, 1932 to Orville William Marquand and Mildred Caroline Durfee in Hotchkiss, Colorado.

Dean was a high school graduate and served in the US Navy on the aircraft carrier USS Lexington. He was married to Donna L Smith (proceeded him in death) for 50 years and they lived most of their lives in the Portland metro area.  He and his wife raised five boys and one foster daughter.

In 1995, Dean and Donna moved to Waldport to help their son Keith with his business.  Dean was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Waldport.  He enjoyed singing and working on models.  He liked to joke and tell stories to his grandchildren and daughters in law.  He instilled in his children to be hard workers, caring and to support your family. He loved being around his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his brother Dale Marquand Amboy, WA; sister Barbara Linn MI; sons Keith Marquand Waldport, OR, Anthony Marquand (Carol) of Woodland, WA, Timothy Marquand (Marcelle) Clackamas, OR, Thomas Marquand (Leslie) Clackamas OR, Michael Marquand (Ginny) St, Helens OR; daughter Lydia Lawson Portland, OR.; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held 2:00pm on May 18, 2019 at the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Waldport.
