Mary Lou McDonald

Mary McDonald was born on May 2, 1933 in Phoenix, Arizona to Earl Swint and Evelyn Hilda (Tubbs) Dick . At an early age, Mary and William E. Wilkison II married and had two children, William III and Patty A.  On September 14th, 1953, Mary married Clement DeVaux, with whom they had three children. Together they had Carrie, Clement, and Linda. In her second marriage, on March 28th, 1986, Mary got married to Harry McDonald in Grants Pass, Oregon. They did not have any children together.

Mary was a member of Newport Eagles #2817, as well as the Madame President and chaplain for the auxiliary. She was instrumental in designing a float for the Loyalty Day's parade that won first place. She had many hobbies, including fishing, camping, gardening and painting. Mary lived in many places, spending the majority of time between Oregon (Eddyville, Oakridge, Newport, Toledo) and Arizona (Flagstaff, Prescott)

Mary was 83 years old and living in of Toledo, Oregon when she passed away on January 21, 2017. 

Surviving Mary are her daughters Linda Thompson, Carrie Smith, and Patty Wickliff; son Clement Devaux; Sister Virginia Larson; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Preceeding Mary in death are her son Bill Wilkison; brother Lee Dick, sister Earlene Heckenlively; husbands Clement DeVaux and Douglas McDonald; as well as Helen Dick, George Dick, Jack Dick, Betty Dick and Kitty.

A Memorial Service for Mary will be 2:00 pm on February 12, 2017 at the Eagles in Newport.
