Ralph Todd Johansen

1944-2022

Ralph, 77, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2022 at home in Newport, Oregon.  He was almost 78, born May 26, 1944 in Hanford, California to Grover and Amanda Johansen.  He was the 5th child of 6.  The family moved to Oregon after Grover passed away in 1948.

He married Pamela Centola in 1968, they had 2 children, Kelly and Bryan.  They divorced in 1984.

Ralph was proud to serve his country in the US Navy for 4 years as a Surgical Technician in Vietnam.  He then became an Orthopedic Physicians Assistant and worked hard to support his families, retiring at the age of 75.

He married Rebecca Herath on 2-13-1988.  They had 2 children, Madeleine and Anna.  Their marriage was unexpectedly cut short after 34 years, with Ralph's death.

Ralph was preceded in death by father Grover, mother Amanda, brother Steve, son Bryan.

He is survived by wife Becky, daughters Kelly, Madeleine, Anna, granddaughter Allison.  Also sister Carole and brothers Ernest, Donald, Chris.  Not to mention numerous nephews, nieces and in-laws!

Ralph was young at heart and such a good person, husband, father, brother, son, etc.  He was a handyman and had so many hobbies - gardening, woodworking, computers, adventuring, geology and on and on....He was also known for his "Blue Mountain" cards!!

He has been missed so much this past year - he so loved all his family members.   Time does not heal...but God does!!
